Alpro Go On Vegan Yoghurt Review

Greek yoghurt was hands down the hardest food for me to give up when I went vegan. As much as I like soy yoghurt, I've just never been able to find/make one thick enough, so when I saw that one of my favourite brands had started selling high protein strained yoghurt alternatives I knew I had to try them!

Passion Fruit:

This was the first flavour I tried, and got me really excited to try out the rest. The top layer of yoghurt is creamy and thick - just like my beloved Greek yoghurt (hallelujah!) - and the bottom layer is perfectly sweet and fruity. I think some may find this a little too sweet, but I'd still rate it 5/5.

Blackcurrant:

I'm not a huge fan of blackcurrant, but I enjoyed this flavour too. Like the first one, the top layer was thick and, whilst it still had a mild taste of soy, quite neutral tasting. Overall the flavour was very good, but the blackcurrant was perhaps a little too sour for me, so 4/5.

Mango:

Like the others, the soya layer on top of the fruit was smooth and creamy without being too sweet. I was surprised to find that the mango underneath had chunks in it as well. As you would expect, the mango layer was very sweet. It didn't personally ruin it for me, but it seemed somewhat out of place in a yoghurt, so 4/5 for this one.

Overall I'm very pleased with this range - ecstatic even! I've definitely found my ideal Greek yoghurt replacement, and the fact that all the yoghurts have 7.5-7.8 grams of protein makes them an ideal substitute for me. Hurrah!
